Director of Station Group Marketing

Develop and lead marketing strategies for the Radio Disney Station Group to:

Provide strategic leadership for local station marketing
Support and maximize station efforts to localize the Radio Disney brand while maintaining consistency with the network
Serve as Burbank-based advocate for local stations
Work in tandem with programming to build local activation programs
Provide strategic leadership for multi-market activation programs
Mazimize advertising revenue by building programs to support local ad sales efforts
Ensure consistency of marketing and presentation in each market
Ensure all stations feel deeply connected to TWDC and are ambassadors of the Disney brand
Lead a team to provide tactical support for station activities


Position reports to Vice President of Marketing and liaises with Vice President, Radio Disney Stations, Vice President of Local Advertising Sales, Regional Directors and Station Managers. Specific responsibilities include:



Develop annual calendar of local sales promotions that support TWDC priorities and generate revenue for stations.


Develop and maintain close, collaborative relationships with all Regional Directors and VP of Local Ad Sales – ensuring their interests are represented in Burbank


Liaise with Director of Marketing to ensure key network marketing and promotions initiatives are supported locally


Liaise with Director of Marketing on off-channel marketing efforts to ensure local station interests are served


Liaise with Music Director to provide local opportunities to connect to Radio Disney music/artists


Oversee development of station portion of new Build Radio Disney intranetincluding a comprehensive information and training tool and training tool for local station staff


Oversee Radio Disney’s synergy function as it relates to local stations -- ensuring that appropriate TWDC priorities are supported and that local stations feel connected to the bigger Disney


Manage team consisting of one director, one promotions managers, one promotions coordinator and two Integrated Marketing promotions managers that will execute all promotions,manage day-to-day operation on intranet,and support local station needs


Manage department budget



More than anything, this position is an advocate for the local stations and requires a solutions-oriented person with outstanding communication skills and flexibility.Creative problem solving is a must. Person must also be able to graciously manage a wide-variety of personalities and work styles so every station feels like they are getting everything they need and more.

Qualifications:


Minimum of 4 years experience in station management, marketing and promotions


Strong creative and writing skills


College degree


Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
