Scheduling and Programming Coordinator—Toon Disney / Jetix

Department: Programming
Reports to: Sr. Manager of Program Planning & Scheduling

Job Description:
· Schedule episodes for all Toon Disney/Jetix series each month in SIMS system
· Maintain SIMS database for Toon Disney/Jetix series and movies including episode titles, synopses, cast, closed captioning, character exclusion codes, residual numbers, V-chips, and run times.
· Manage SIMS (scheduling) to Enterprise (traffic) uploads. Proof upload, and then disseminate long sheets to all parties.
· Manage change memo process making sure all changes regardless of daypart are changed in all appropriate systems (SIMS, ENTERPRISE). Disseminate change information to appropriate departments and update hard copies of information with revised schedule.
· Enter and maintain format schedules in SIMS and work with the Traffic Department in the creation of formats.
· Provide data to product rights group for input into RADAR (product rights tracking) for all original Toon Disney/Jetix series and enter Toon Disney / Jetix expected distribution of program.
· Track kids competitive networks and provide information for a weekly report.
· Manage and distribute the Toon / Jetix weekly platform meeting notes.
· Enter Graphic elements in the G2UI database, schedule all stunt elements and provide back-up scheduling for navigational flow elements when necessary.
· Assist with episode scheduling for stunts and special events.
· Special projects as needed.

Job-Related Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience in TV or media-related field
Proficient in the following Applications: Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Internet Explorer
Proficient in the following System Software: Enterprise (Traffic); System Information Management System or SIMS (Scheduling)
Must work well with others and be able to manage work load to meet crucial deadlines
General knowledge of the children’s programming landscape


Job-Related Education

BS or BA in Television or related field preferred
