National Tipster has been established for citizens, who have information regarding a crime but lack the knowledge of who or where to report what they have seen. The informant calls the National Tipster Hotline. All calls are anonymous and when you first speak to a representative, the representative will give you a unique case number. That number will be associated with the call/tip so that in the event that the case is successfully prosecuted, the reward can be anonymously associated with the appropriate tip. Once the anonymity has been established and a unique case number issued, the operator takes the caller through a series of questions depending on the type of crime being reported. These questions have been developed through the aid of law enforcement and other sources that help us to gather the most relavent and accurate information depending on the type of crime being reported.
